Jim Price Induction Video

Jim Price has an incredible officiating career.

He first became involved in lacrosse by coaching his son’s box lacrosse team in Barrie, ON in the early 70’s. Shortly after that he became involved in field lacrosse becoming the RIC of Ontario Field Lacrosse from ‘83-’95. From ‘89-’04, Jim was the RIC for Lacrosse Canada becoming the VP or National Championships for LC in ‘93.


Jim is known for selflessly traveling the World, sharing his expertise, and training officials, often on his own dime.

Jim then became part of ILF, was the RIC for the Worlds in 2006 and served as a deputy for the 2011 FIL World Indoor Championships. All the while, Jim was traveling around the World, meeting with different organizations, and assisting them with the development of the game. Along with officiating the field and box game, Jim once officiated at a World Intercrosse Championship.

Deservingly in 2004, Jim was recognized for all of his accolades with the Lester B. Pearson Award for his contributions to officiating. World Lacrosse has recognized Jim by stating that the men’s field officiating program would not be where it is without his contributions and leadership. Jim is well respected by many officials and organizations across the globe with many stories are told by officials from different countries describing how much they learned so much from Jim and are incredibly grateful for his guidance, leadership, knowledge, and friendship.
